CardX

Privacy

Effective October 10, 2026

CardX is a game app for people in the same room. It has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking. This page explains the little data it does handle.

Your games

Games run on the devices in your room. The host's device holds the game, and every other phone and TV talks to it directly over your local network. Your cards, moves, and scores are not sent to us.

Other players' devices only receive what they're allowed to see. A face-down card reaches them as an anonymous marker, never as the card itself.

Linking devices

To get devices talking, CardX uses a small linking service run by Apphaus:

The linking service keeps rooms and addresses in memory only. It forgets them when the host closes the room or after 12 hours at most, and it doesn't store them in a database or logs. Once your devices are connected, game play doesn't go through it.

On your device

CardX stores a few things on your own device:

Deleting the app removes all of it.

Sharing card packs

If you host a game with a card pack another player doesn't have, your device sends that pack to theirs over your local network. Only add packs you're happy to share with the people at your table.
